We are absolutely delighted to resume our vital ‘Say No to Crime’ youth programme, kickstarting an exciting new personal development project with the young people from Marsden Heights High School.

Last week marked the official launch of the initiative, beginning with an immersive trip to The Reporters Academy in Manchester. This builds upon our core mission of providing positive outlets for young men and boys across Lancashire, combining mentorship with real-world skills.

Developing Skills at The Reporters Academy

Over the course of this specialised three-week creative media module, the students will learn the ins and outs of digital broadcasting. Working closely in teams, they will take on roles as digital creators to write, record, and produce their very own professional podcast series.

By exposing the youth to high-growth, modern industries like media production and digital journalism, we aim to channel their energy into productive, rewarding career paths.

Empowering Youth Through Positive Life Choices

At its heart, the ‘Say No to Crime’ initiative is designed to inspire the next generation to unleash their potential and choose positive life choices. Through a powerful blend of interactive workshops, teamwork, and active sports for resilience, we provide the guidance needed to help steer young people completely away from anti-social behaviour and crime.

We are incredibly proud of how exceptionally well our first cohort from Marsden Heights engaged during week one. We cannot wait to see their confidence grow and listen to their finished podcasts at the end of the three weeks!
